Welcome to Hands for Hopes! Our website is now published! Yay!
We are an organization run by high school students and our mission is to foster positivity and build confidence among youth facing various challenges. We achieve this through engaging activities such as bracelet and origami making, which are designed to be both enjoyable and beneficial.
Our bracelet-making sessions during volunteer opportunities around the Triangle involve crafting beaded bracelets with positive affirmations like "strong," "I can," "believe," and "love," promoting positivity and gratitude. Additionally, origami activities have been shown to reduce anxiety and provide a creative outlet for participants. We also tailor our activities to match seasonal themes; for instance, for New Year's there will be New Year's resolution writing activity on completed origami, with bracelets featuring messages like "My year." All of these activities are fun and low stress and helps to bring joy to the youth.
